1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the HUMUN platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and HUMUN Technologies ("HUMUN," "we," "our," or "us"). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and we will notify you of material changes through the platform or via email.

2. Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • Not be prohibited from using the Services under applicable laws
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information

Healthcare providers must additionally hold valid professional credentials and licenses in their respective jurisdictions to offer medical services through the platform.

3. Account Registration & Security

When you create an account with HUMUN, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and secure
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used for unauthorized purposes.

4. Description of Services

HUMUN provides a secure healthcare communication platform that includes:

  • Secure Messaging: End-to-end encrypted communication between patients and healthcare providers
  • Medical Record Management: Secure storage and organization of health records, lab results, and prescriptions
  • File Sharing: Encrypted upload and sharing of medical documents between authorized parties
  • Notifications: Real-time alerts for messages, appointments, and health updates

Our Services are designed to facilitate healthcare communication and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.

5. User Responsibilities

As a user of our Services, you agree to:

  • Use the platform only for lawful purposes related to healthcare communication
  • Not upload or share content that is false, misleading, or harmful
  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other users
  • Not attempt to circumvent security measures or access unauthorized areas
  • Not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Services
  • Not engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the platform
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

6. Healthcare Provider Terms

Healthcare providers using the platform additionally agree to:

  • Maintain valid professional licenses and credentials
  • Provide services only within their scope of practice and jurisdiction
  • Follow applicable medical standards, ethics, and regulations
  • Protect patient confidentiality in accordance with applicable laws
  • Not guarantee specific medical outcomes through the platform

HUMUN does not employ healthcare providers and is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or outcomes of medical advice or services provided through the platform.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the HUMUN platform — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, software, and design — are the exclusive property of HUMUN Technologies and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
  • Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior authorization
  • Create derivative works based on the platform

You retain ownership of content you upload to the platform (such as medical records and messages). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process and store it solely for the purpose of providing the Services.

8. Payments & Fees

Certain features of our Services may require payment. By subscribing to paid features, you agree to:

  • Pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase
  • Provide valid payment information
  • Authorize recurring charges for subscription services
  • Accept that fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated

We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified of price changes at least 30 days in advance.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HUMUN Technologies, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any content you upload or share through the platform

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, including for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Non-payment of applicable fees
  • Extended periods of inactivity

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination, after which it will be permanently deleted unless otherwise required by law.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved through:

  • Informal Resolution: We encourage you to contact us first to resolve disputes amicably.
  • Mediation: If informal resolution fails, disputes will be submitted to mediation in Dubai, UAE.
  • Arbitration: If mediation is unsuccessful, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
